I like the story of Qing Feng and Lou Xi Yan, hence I listened to their daughter’s story first.  This story is about Gu Yun and Su Ling’s daughter.   Compared to the Pursuit of Murderer in Liao Yue, this story is better.   I like the part where Gu Yun found FL kissing ML.  FL was hilarious and scared of her mother.

Summary:

FL (Su Su) made a bet with her cousins to find a treasure within a year.  FL decided to travel towards the east and planned to stopped over on her way back at Ju Ling Island to visit Uncle Ao to pick one treasure to take home.  FL donned on boy’s clothes and joined as a fishing crew.  The fishing boat got captured by the sea pirates.

Mo Yuan (ML) who came with the sea pirates got attracted to FL.  At first, FL kept a low profile but she could not stop herself from fighting with them when she saw a pirate harassing her lady boss.  ML noticed FL’s intelligence and intrigued with her background.  ML asked the Pirate Leader to give FL to him.

FL made friends with the pirate leader’s daughter called Sang Nuan.  The Huan Lang Island belongs to Sang Nuan’s mother, Mo Sang.  After Mo Sang passed away, the island took over by one of her followers.  Sang Nuan managed to keep her brother, Sang Leng and herself safe from the rest of the pirates.  Sang Nuan is also a doctor who is well versed with poisons.  Sang Nuan knew her mother hid a relic that belongs to the Mo Clan.  Sang Nuan wrote to the Mo Clan asking them to help her and her brother in exchange for the relic.  At the same time, she also written to the Tan Tai general’s family for the same.  Sang Nuan hope both families will fight over the relic and she can take the opportunity to get rid of the Pirate Leader and reclaim the island.  The Mo Clan sent their young master, Mo Yuan and Tan Tai General sent his son, Tan Tai Ye Lie.

A series of murder happened in the island.  FL found out that the mastermind behind the murders was Sang Nuan and Tan Tai Ye Lie.  FL likes Sang Nuan and unsure whether to tell the Pirate Leader about Sang Nuan.  Sang Nuan told the Pirate Leader that the murderer is Tan Tai Ye Lie who has escaped.

FL and ML found the relic.  It is a Ba Gua compass.  Tan Tai Ye Lie also wanted the relic and something else.  Tan Tai Ye Lie intruded Mo Sang’s mausoleum.  Tan Tai Ye Lie took FL with him.  ML followed them after he found out FL got abducted by Tan Tai Ye Lei.  In the mausoleum,  ML and Tan Tai Ye Lie got poisoned.

FL followed ML home.  ML’s home located on top of a mountain covering with snow.  The Mo Clan lived in seclusion for many years.  They were once known to be famous occult reader.  The Mo Clan is a very serious clan and does not display their emotion easily.   ML confessed his love to FL.   ML told FL the history of the Mo Clan and the importance of the relic and how it will change the life of the Mo Clan.

FL said the Su family has a similar Ba Gua compass.  The Mo Senior Leader agreed that ML followed FL home to check out the Su family’s Ba Gua compass.

Su Ling (FL’s father) was not happy when he met ML and his purpose of visit.   He worried that the Ba Gua compass will take away his wife and daughter.  Su Ling was hostile towards ML.   But his wife, Gu Yun advised Su Ling to face whatever challenge that comes along.

FL and ML heard from the Su Senior Leader that there is another piece of the compass.  Once the three compasses are found, a person can change his fate and future.

The story ended with FL and ML went to Liao Yue when they heard that the third compass could be there.
