Even though it is 34 episodes, but each episode was split into a few parts.  Hence in total there are 71 recordings.  I got disappointed at first because the introductory episode was recorded in multiple voices but the following episodes were in female voice only.  That was how they enticed you to listen to the book.  But I was happy again because from episode 7 onward it was back to multiple voices.

Summary:

ML (Mo Qing Chen/Ji Ding Lan) is a prince but was borne without one of the senses.  He could not feel any pain when he was hurt or injured and neither could he expressed himself when he was happy or sad.  He will kill whoever that touches him.  He could not differentiate whether the person getting close to him or touches him has good or bad intention because he could not sense anything hence he has unintentionally killed them. He met FL (Ling Chi) on the run and realised that he could touch FL without hurting her. Hence, he tried all methods to try to keep FL with him.  He even tried to force FL to marry him.  One day FL tried to drug ML and was found out by ML.  ML thought that if he was to have sex with FL, FL will stay on with him.  Since it was a non-consensual sex, FL was not happy with ML and left him instead.  ML kept following her everywhere.

FL’s family were killed and she has been trying to find out who is the murderer.

ML’s father, the emperor knew of FL’s intention hence gave her two choices.  Either she followed Du Ruo to leave the country and not to return or to stay on with ML and forget about her intention.  In order to save Du Ruo, FL picked the first choice.  ML was listening behind the scene.  After FL and Du Ruo left a few days later, FL got rid of the escort.  The emperor already suspected that she will not keep her promise hence instructed his soldier to kill her.  She fell into a ravine and took two years to recover.

She returned to the capital city to look for ML.  There was another girl that can also touched ML and it was rumored that she is the new lover of the ML.  This girl is actually FL’s stepsister.

Many years ago there was a girl called Zhu Yan that could also touch ML.  Zhu Yan was ML’s wuxia sister and he pampered her and gave in to everything that Zhu Yan wanted.  As time passed by, Zhu Yan was not happy with her relationship with ML because ML could not expressed any feeling of loving her.  Zhu Yan tried running away but was not successful.  Zhu Yan fell in love with another man.  ML realised that he was jealous of them and drank himself till he was drunk to forget his sorrows.  When he woke up, he realised that he has killed the man that Zhu Yan fell in love with.  Zhu Yan killed herself eventually and curse ML that he will never find true love and even if he did, the girl will leave him one day.

FL suspected that ML was the murderer of family and confronted him.  ML could not remembered what happen many years and just accepted the blame.  In the moment of anger, FL stabbed ML.  She later regretted her action

It was revealed towards the end of the story that the murderer was someone else.
