This is the first book of a trilogy and I like this story the best.   The second book is called 错嫁良缘之一代军师 (A Mistaken Marriage Match: A Generation of Military Counselor ) and third book is called 错嫁良缘之后宫疑云 (A Mistaken Marriage – Mysteries in the Imperial Harem).   This book was initially translated by Cloversnook until chapter 8 and then took over by Nutty.

The romance between FL and ML in this book is much sweeter compared to her sisters in the other two books.  Of course, this type of hero can only be found in fiction.  There are two versions of the audiobook.  Audiobook 1 was recorded in a single female voice but it stopped at episode 86 for almost 6 months.   I went back to check recently and was delighted that new episodes were uploaded.   As for Audiobook 2, it has multiple voices unfortunately it stopped at episode 57.   There was no upload of new episodes since last year.  You can follow my method where I started with Audiobook 2 and then finished it off with Audiobook 1.

Summary:

FL (Zhou Qing) is a forensic pathologist in the modern world.  While investigating a case with a female inspector (Gu Yun), they were accidentally transported back to the ancient world.  FL became Qing Feng, one of the sisters that were sent to Qiong Yue country as a gift.   The sisters decided to kill themselves instead of submitting to the enemy.  They were rescued and were separately transported to Qiong Yue Country.  Qing Feng is actually Qing Ling, the eldest daughter but when the sisters were saved, the escort team made a mistake and swapped the first sister with the second sister.    Gu Yun became Qing Mo, the third sister.

Qing Feng was sent to the palace to become emperor’s concubine.  Qing  Ling was sent to prime minister (Lou Xi Yan) and  Qing Mo was given to the General Su.

FL made the best of the situation and both ML and FL started to fall for each other.  FL managed to reunite with Gu Yu/Qing Mo and resolved some cases together.

The emperor actually met Qing Ling many years ago and was attracted to her.  Hence he plotted to get Hao Yue’s emperor to send Qing Ling to him as a gift.

ML was aware of the emperor’s intention hence when the truth was revealed on their swapped identities, ML told the emperor that he and FL had already consummate their marriage to prevent the emperor from getting his hand on FL.
